1. Discounts on Annual Pass
When you have a Disney Vacation Club membership, you’ll enjoy discounts on the annual passes. You can save $100 per person on any Platinum or Platinum Plus membership.
You can also purchase annual passes that are only available for Florida residents, like the Gold Pass. This saving can be applied to anyone in your household. If you have four family members, you automatically save $400!
However, there are occasional chances to save more than $100 on each pass, so make sure you keep an eye on your email.
2. Access to Lounges
If you’re tired and need a place to relax after hanging out at the park, you can enjoy a DVC-exclusive lounge. There is one at Epcot.
It’s located in the Imagination Pavilion. You can check in near the exit at Figment, and then you’ll head upstairs to the lounge. You’ll get access to drinks, snacks, and a nice air-conditioned place to sit and relax.
In addition to this lounge, you’ll also get access to the lounge in the Bay Lake Tower. This is at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and it’s on the very top floor.
It’s called the Top of the World Lounge, and you’ll get a panoramic view of Magic Kingdom. This lounge also changes themes, so you can experience a new theme each time you visit, giving you a reason to keep coming back as well!
3. Discounts
In addition to saving on your memberships, you’ll also enjoy savings on different restaurants and merchandise. All you need to do is show your membership ID card at any store or restaurant.
You’ll be able to get 10 to 20% off your purchase. You can get this membership card when you purchase up to 150 DVC points. This card can come in handy, especially if you’re feeding a large family.
4. Special Events
When you’re a DVC member, you’ll also get access to special, exclusive events. They may not be a big enough event to plan a dedicated trip for, but if you’re already in the area, it can be a great option.
However, there is one event that has been getting bigger over the past few years. Disney held their Vacation Club’s 25th Anniversary party. At these parties, you’ll get a chance to meet rare characters, see special entertainment, or have a special host.

5. Access to Pools
After a long day at the park, hanging out and relaxing in the pools is one of the best things to do. With a DVC membership, you’ll get to go to any pool that you want.
Each resort has its own themed pool, waterslides, cafes, and different features. With the membership, you can hit up all of them.
You should always double-check with the resort manager or host to see what pools are off-limits. There are some blackout dates that may hinder you, and they can also close off the pool to hoppers if the pool is already at capacity.
6. Free Laundry
If you’re going to be staying for a while, you’ll probably need to do some laundry. Thankfully, DVC members get free laundry.
The laundry rooms are very large and nice, and you’ll rarely have to wait to wash your stuff. If you’re staying at a DVC resort, some of them even have a washing and dryer unit inside your room.

7. Disney Experience App
When you use the My Disney Experience app, you can actually get entry to your room, theme park, PhotoPass, and even more. This gives you keyless (and free) entry to all of these attractions.
MagicBands aren’t complimentary anymore for resort guests. Instead, you should use the My Disney Experience app instead of purchasing a MagicBand.
The DVC guests can still purchase different MagicBands, but they won’t be complimentary anymore. However, if you have a MagicBand that you already own, then you’ll be able to connect all of your reservations to that.
Using the app is very easy, and it’ll make it easier for DVC members who don’t want to keep track of a hotel key, theme park key, and more.
You can also make all of your dining and FastPass reservations on the app so that you don’t have to waste time standing in even more lines.
